Get ready to say goodbye to Scott, Stiles and crew: Teen Wolf is ending after season 6.
MTV announced today (July 22) at San Diego Comic-Con that the series starring Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien will wrap up for good with its 100th episode sometime next year.
“Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could’ve ever imagined,” showrunner Jeff Davis said as reported by Variety. “We’re eternally grateful for the support we’ve received over these past six years and we’re excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure.”
The network also unveiled a trailer for the upcoming season — and if its dark tone is anything to go by, fans shouldn’t necessarily expect the drama to end on a happy note.
The ominous preview gives fans a close look at the Ghost Riders who will be invading Beacon Hills when the series returns.
“Something terrible is going to happen. Something worse than death,” a character warns.
That terrible something, it turns out, is a Ghost Rider. According to Dr. Alan (Seth Gilliam), Ghost Riders are dangerous because they “erase people from reality.” Yikes.
But don’t lose hope quite yet! Before the trailer ends, Scott (Posey) promises that he’ll “never stop” until he gets everyone back who’s lost their memory to the Ghost Riders.
Here’s hoping he succeeds before it’s time to say farewell for good.
Teen Wolf season 6 will premiere in November on MTV.
