Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to pilot the Millennium Falcon? You’ll have the opportunity to find out when Disneyland’s Star Wars-themed park opens, and we have a brand-new photo of the incredible concept art!
To coincide with the official groundbreaking that took place last April, the “Happiest Place on Earth” shared a sprawling new image of what guests can expect to find on the fence along Big Thunder Trail in Frontierland. Looking more like a motion picture than a theme park, fans will notice a X-wing fighter in mid-flight in the foreground, while eagle-eyed enthusiasts can even catch a glimpse of Hans Solo and Chewbacca’s favorite spacecraft tucked away in a cargo bay.
“Nestled between towering spires of rock, this thriving port contains a seemingly familiar architecture of markets, landing zones and buildings,” the Disney Parks blog describes their latest venture. “Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming – like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will get the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.”
Excited, we are! The 14-acre Star Wars-themed land will be the largest-ever single-themed land expansion at Disneyland Resort.
No word as of yet if you’ll be able to visit the park in the upcoming years or in a future far, far away.
