There’s certainly something strange in Melissa McCarthy’s neighborhood, but it has absolutely nothing to do with ghosts!
While the quartet of McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon are getting a lot of (well-deserved) acclaim for their comedic ability in the forthcoming Ghostbusters movie, McCarthy couldn’t stop gushing about another “bizarrely funny” member of the cast: action star Chris Hemsworth.
During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, McCarthy revealed that Hemsworth, aka the “big, tall, awkward, blond guy” she worked with on the reboot is “crazy funny” and “an insane improviser.”
“Everybody’s like, ‘You’re gonna love him; he’s so great; he’s so great. All I heard was good stuff,” McCarthy gushed about her costar. “I can’t figure out why no one was like ‘Oh by the way, he’s bizarrely funny.'”
Hemsworth’s comedic chops shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to those who watched the actor in last year’s comedy Vacation or caught him on Saturday Night Live during one of the two times he hosted the late night series in 2015.
You can watch McCarthy bust some ghosts with Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon when Ghostbusters opens this Friday.
