The CW’s Arrow may not be ending anytime soon, but according to star Stephen Amell, the series is definitely gearing up to move in a new direction.

Amell took a break from defending Star City to open up about the upcoming fifth season of Arrow while attending the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest last weekend. With the exact roles of Diggle (David Ramsey), Speedy (Willa Holland), and the new mayor of Star City (Amell) in limbo following the group-splintering season 4 finale, Amell hinted that season 5 may bring closure to some storylines.

“I don’t believe this is going to be the last season of the show, by any means, but certainly the end of a chapter,” Amell said at HVFF.

With a mix of new guest stars and returning favorites already announced for the upcoming season, the anticipation level is  off the charts. In addition to Echo Kellum’s Curtis Holt being upgraded to season regular and former Walking Dead star Chad L. Coleman reoccurring as villainous gangster Tobias Church, Amell revealed that former WWE star Cody Rhodes will be stopping by the third episode of the forthcoming season.

“You can probably expect Stephen and I to get into another fight,” Rhodes said during his HVFF panel.

Meanwhile, Amell’s costar David Ramsey offered a much more succinct summary about the upcoming season.

“Mayhem, death, love. Oliver and Felicity breaking up and getting back together,” said Ramsey.

Sounds like the Arrow we know and love!
