If you’re still not over the dissolution of the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas is here to provide you with some closure as to what really drove the beloved band of brothers to split up.

Nick, who transitioned into a successful solo career after the group disbanded back in 2013, has admitted in the past that he initiated the conversations that led to the break up. But on Tuesday’s (May 14) episode of Watch What Happens Live, the youngest Jonas Brother revealed to Andy Cohen that he was the main reason the high-profile band parted ways.

“It was a very tough conversation, and it left the family kind of shaken up for a little while,” Nick said regarding the breakup. “I mean we were about to start a tour.”

While the abrupt split came as a surprise to fans, it may have been the best thing for Kevin, Nick, and Joe as all three Jonas boys have experienced success outside of their group.

“We’re good now” Nick continued. “I have a beautiful niece. My brother has a family. Joe’s band DNCE is doing very well. It’s good for everybody and it’s good that it happened because I think we all grew from it, but it was very challenging for a little while.”
