Whether they were kicking butt, cracking cases, or just trying to get through life, there’s no denying that television has been home to some amazing female characters from the 2000s onward.

The fact that there have been so many wonderful female characters on TV over the past few years has really got us wondering which leading ladies are truly the most beloved of the era. And so, with that in mind, we’re turning the question over to you!

Does your vote for most beloved female TV character of the ‘00s onward go to Gilmore Girls‘ Rory (Alexis Bledel) or Lorelai (Lauren Graham) for their fast talking, pop culture spewing rants? Or are you much more drawn to Grey’s Anatomy’s intern-turned Chief of General Surgery, Meredith Grey (Ellen Popmeo)? Is your most beloved female character an ace when it comes to solving crime like Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell)? Or is she more of a pro at dealing with supernatural forces like The Vampire Diaries‘ Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev)? Or perhaps, your most beloved leading lady is someone more recent like The 100’s Lexa, who just won our “Which TV Character Would You Bring Back ASAP” poll? Or a time-traveling extraordinaire like Claire (Caitrona Balfe) from Outlander?

We want to hear which female TV character from the 2000s onward you think is the greatest, so be sure to drop us a line in the comments below! We’ll be taking your suggestions into consideration for our upcoming poll, where we’ll find out which leading lady will take home the crown as the most beloved female TV character of recent times!
