You can count Hayley Atwell among the many fans who would like to see the recently canceled ABC series Agent Carter revived for a third season.

The once (and future?) Marvel actress was adamant about her love for the role during a recent appearance at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida as reported by Entertainment Weekly. While many stars say they’d like their canceled shows to return, Atwell’s passion for the role was evident as she told the crowd that she would even “shoot on the weekends” if Netflix decided to bring the series back.

“I love Peggy,” Atwell said according to EW. “I love the people that were working on this project together. The fans are incredibly warm and welcoming. And it would be an absolute privilege and honor to bring her back for the fans.”

Despite the fact that there are no new missions planned for Agent Carter, Atwell will still be on the ABC fall schedule. The actress stars in the upcoming legal drama Conviction, in which she plays a brilliant young attorney blackmailed into heading up LA’s new Conviction Integrity Unit.

While Atwell also expressed interest in bringing the Agent Carter character to the big screen in her own movie, she also gave fans a peek at what a potential third season of the series would look like.

“There was talk of season 3 of going further back into her past,” the star continued. “So the showrunners were talking about a possible kind of twist, I suppose, into something to do with the family.”

What do you think? Should Netflix resurrect Agent Carter?
