Nick Carter may be the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys, but it turns out, he’s wise beyond his years.

In an interview with EW, “Close” singer Nick Jonas revealed that the best career advice he ever got came from the iconic boyband member himself.

The former Jonas Brother-turned solo artist revealed that Carter bestowed the knowledge unto him early on in his career, but it’s clear now that Jonas has never forgotten his words.

“He said, ‘Watch the people you admire most and learn from their mistakes,’ It was like, wow,” recalled Jonas.

The “Chains” singer also revealed that Carter’s fellow Backstreet Boy bandmates were in attendance when the conversation unfolded and even they seemed surprised by Carter’s poignant words of wisdom.

“He’s a really nice guy. But even all his bandmates were like, ‘What did you just say? ‘Whoa, that was really deep,’” said Jonas.

Somehow, we’re not surprised by Nick Carter’s wise words. The boyband superstar joined BSB at the tender age of 12. Add that to the fact that he’s been in the business for over two decades, and we think that definitely qualifies him to be shelling out advice to the next generation of great artists!
