Musical episodes may be all the rage, but unfortunately, actor Grant Gustin is cautioning fans not to get their hopes up about The Flash following suit.

When we caught up with him at at the CW Upfronts in New York City last week, Gustin revealed that despite his music background, the Glee alum is “vocally against” a musical episode for The Flash. That being said, he’s not completely opposed to singing on the series if it happens the right way.

“I think if singing happens on the show within the story organically like the karaoke thing that happened, it’s awesome,” Gustin told People’s Choice.

So is there ever a chance of us getting to see a duet between Gustin and fellow Glee grad Melissa Benoist now that Supergirl has found a new home with The CW?

“Maybe we take Kara to the karaoke bar that we went to or something and we can sing,” reasoned Gustin. “That’d be cool.”

Barry and Caitlin’s trip to the karaoke bar is definitely one of our favorite scenes from season one, so we’re definitely crossing our fingers that The Flash finds a way to bring some of our favorite characters into that fun atmosphere!

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW
