As comic book fans continue to head to theaters in droves to watch Captain America and Iron Man settle their superhero differences on the big screen, the DC Comics antihero team is gearing up to unleash its unique brand of havoc on an eager audience with Suicide Squad.
The movie boasts a number of iconic bad guys like The Joker (Jared Leto), Deadshot (Will Smith) and The Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), but there’s no need to ask Margot Robbie which character is best. The actress clearly believes the answer is Harley Quinn.
“For the first time, I thought that I had the best character in the movie. I wouldn’t trade my character in Suicide Squad for anyone else’s,” Robbie told Oyster magazine. “The comics are rad… I hadn’t read any growing up, but now I’m obsessed. I read them in my own time. We went to Comic-Con… and I didn’t get to be in and amongst it because we were shooting, but the energy is insane. People are nuts. I could go as Harley Quinn in the actual costume from the movie, and somebody there would have a better one.“
Robbie isn’t the only one who thinks highly of Harley Quinn. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Warner Bros. is planning an all-female superhero/villain movie with Harley Quinn. Robbie is set to produce the project which will may include other comic back heroines (and anti-heroines) like Batgirl and Birds of Prey.
