Move over, Clarissa. It’s time for Rose Byrne to explain it all and by “it all” we mean the chilling legend of the world’s first mutant in this recently released clip from Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

Light on action but heavy on exposition, the footage features Byrne’s Moira MacTaggert describing the cult of En Sabah Nur to Xavier (James McAvoy) and Havok (Lucas Till). The cult awaits the return of a mutant with a “specific set of powers greater than any man can possess,” or as Xavier so elegantly describes it, “an all-powerful mutant.”

Unfortunately for the X-Men, it gets worse.

“Wherever this being was, he always had four principle followers,” Moira continues in the clip. “Disciples. Protectors he would imbue with powers.”

While you’ll have to wait until May 27 to find out how Raven and Professor X plan to defeat Apocalypse, who’s widely considered to be the most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, you can watch the first official clip from the hotly-anticipated movie right now!

While the X-Men’s chances may appear dire, don’t forget that a certain clawed favorite may be showing up to help even the odds.
