Lady Gaga and Elton John are officially taking their partnership beyond the studio! The collaborators have just announced that they’ll be pairing up with Macy’s to release a limited edition clothing and accessories line.
According to WWD, the musicians’ line, called Love Bravery, aims to “inspire compassion and combat prejudice.” Gaga and John aren’t the only ones who will be contributing either. The “Born This Way” singer’s sister and stylist, Natali Germanotta, and designer Brandon Maxwell are also poised to lend their keen eye for fashion to the upcoming collection.
Purchasing from the Love Bravery line will also benefit a few great causes. In addition to announcing their new collaboration with the department store, the musicians also announced that 25 percent of each purchase will be going towards Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Gaga spoke to WWD about what an honor it was to team up with the “Rocket Man” singer on a line that benefits two great causes.
“We need to make the world a kinder and braver place where men and women everywhere are empowered to I’ve with compassion,” Gaga told the outlet. “That’s what Born This Way Foundation is all about, that’s what the Elton John AIDS Foundation is all about and that’s what Love Bravery is all about.”
Savvy shoppers will also be happy to know that each piece in the collection is under $100. Fans will also be able to shop the line beginning Saturday (April 30) online at Macys.com, and at 150 Macy’s stores beginning on May 9.
