Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson may have been allies in The Hunger Games, but it’s clear the actors are anything but in their brand-new Western, The Duel.

EW revealed the first trailer for the upcoming action flick, and it does a great job of building the tension between a Texas Ranger (Hemsworth) who ends up facing off against a powerful, small-town Preacher (Harrelson) by the name of Abraham Brant.

Hemsworth’s David Kingston originally comes to the small town to investigate a series of unexplained deaths, but it soon becomes clear that there’s more to the nefarious acts than meets the eye. The Texas Ranger gets more than he bargained for when his wife (I Am Legend’s Alice Braga) becomes Abraham’s next target and as a result, falls prey to the Preacher’s powers.

“I’ve known you’d be coming for me, David,” says Abraham toward the end of the trailer.

“I’m guessing you didn’t force this,” replies Kingston, gun at the ready.

Written by Matt Cook and directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith, the upcoming Western also stars Emory Cohen (Brooklyn), William Hurt, (Captain America: Civil War), and William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption).

The Duel opens in theaters on June 24.
