The first episode of Game of Thrones season six may have shown us where some of our favorite Westeros inhabitants are now, but next week, we’ll finally get to see a familiar face we haven’t heard from since the tail end of season four.
HBO has just released a brand-new promo for season six, episode two, and in it, we get our first look at Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright). Though his segment in the teaser is short, we do see him waking up in the Weridwood tree, so it looks as though his storyline will be picking up right where it left off.
The last we saw of Bran, he Hodor (Kristian Nairn) and Meera (Ellie Kendrick) had finally come face to face with the Three-Eyed Raven (also known as The Last Greenseer) at the Weirdwood tree. In George R.R. Martin’s books, Bran’s meeting with the Greenseer is poignant because it is he who helps him communicate with a very important character in another part of Westeros.
There’s no telling if the Game of Thrones showrunners will end up following this particular story arc for Bran, but either way, we’re looking forward to seeing how Bran comes into play now that he’s officially back!
Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO
