** This post includes potential spoilers about Game of Thrones season 6**

Get ready for a blast from the past, Game of Thrones fans! It looks like the series is bringing a very important character back to Westeros.

Popular Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall recently pointed out that according to the Vivienne Clore acting agency, actor Paul Kaye is set to return to the series sometime in season 6.

For those of you who need a bit of a refresher, Kaye played Thoros of Myr the last time we saw him on the series. Thoros is a member of the Brotherhood Without Banners. He’s also the man who notoriously resurrected Beric Dondarrion from the dead during the show’s third season.

In George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books, Beric’s role is poignant because it is he who brings back Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) after the infamous Red Wedding. Catelyn in turn transforms herself into Lady Stoneheart, a mute outlaw who sets out to take down the Lannister’s allies in the Riverlands. The Lady Stoneheart storyline is one that fans were waiting with baited breath for and now that actor Paul Kaye is set to return, many are hoping this will catapult the next chapter of Catelyn Stark’s journey into motion.

We’ll all just have to wait and see if the Lady Stoneheart storyline finally makes an appearance on Game of Thrones, but regardless, we’re definitely looking forward to seeing how the return of Thoros mixes things up!
