Selena Gomez is ready to bring her story to the small screen.

Deadline reports that the “Same Old Love” singer is officially set to executive produce a scripted drama for Lifetime inspired by her own life, alongside actors Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti. Though Gomez is officially attached to produce, the upcoming made-for-television biopic is still on the hunt for a script writer.

The upcoming drama will recount Gomez’ journey as she makes her way through Hollywood. Interestingly, the story will be told through the eyes of her friends. According to Deadline, it’ll be similar to HBO’s Entourage in the sense that it’ll feature a young, up-and-coming star surrounded by a trusted inner circle of buddies.

Lately, it seems as though the singer and actress has taken to siting in the producer’s chair. Aside from her upcoming Lifetime project, Gomez is also attached to produce a few other upcoming projects, including the Netflix 13 series Reasons Why, and a Latina Empire drama for Freeform, which is currently in development at the network.

Though we’re excited for all of Selena Gomez’s upcoming projects, we’re especially looking forward to catching her autobiographical drama on Lifetime— especially now that we know she’s working alongside the network to bring the project to life!
