The seasoned actress has played Spencer’s big sis on Pretty Little Liars, an ex-soldier turned spouse and mom on Army Wives, and yet another doctor on The Vampire Diaries. But despite her previous memorable roles, DeVitto says Nanny Carrie is the one that garners her the most attention.
When we caught up with the actress at PaleyFest’s An Evening with Dick Wolf in March, DeVitto revealed that when she’s out and about, she’s more likely to get recognized as little Jamie Scott’s caretaker than for any of her other previous roles.
“Nanny Carrie is like my claim to fame or something because I hear her all the time!” DeVitto told People’s Choice. “Still to this day, at least five times a week, I hear, ‘Oh my God, Nanny Carrie!’— more than that— those fans are so diehard, it’s crazy!”
We’re not surprised to hear that the love for One Tree Hill still runs just as deep as it did when the show first premiered on The CW over 10 years ago. The best part is, it seems as though the cast is just as close as ever. DeVitto herself reunited with quite a few Tree Hill Ravens last summer in Montreal.
Additionally, DeVitto revealed that she and Brooke Davis actress Sophia Bush see each other regularly now that they're both part of NBC's Chicago universe and based the Windy City for work.
