NCIS fans have been gearing up to say goodbye to Michael Weatherly for weeks and now, we’ve finally got a few details as to how we’ll be bidding farewell to Tony DiNozzo.

TV Line reports that the upcoming finale, entitled “Family First,” will feature a killer targeting federal agents that will lead everyone on an international manhunt. The upcoming finale will also feature 24 star Sarah Clarke as an FBI agent and actor Duane Henry as an MI-6 agent.

NCIS showrunner Gary Glasberg told the outlet that they really worked hard to make sure that Weatherly’s exit after a 13-year stint on the series pleases the fans of the show.

“We’re really trying to give everybody something that leaves them satisfied,” said Glasberg.

For most fans, a satisfying exit for DiNozzo would somehow feature Ziva (Cote de Pablo), but whether or not she makes an appearance is still up in the air. Given last week’s episode and Tony’s passing remark about how his goldfish had “gained a little weight,” many in the fandom are speculating that perhaps a baby is on the way for one of our favorite television couples.

Last episode also found Tony contemplating his life and trying to figure out how to give it more substance. Now, with Tony presumably being targeted in his final episode, perhaps he’ll realize he’s done with the danger and go find Ziva to settle down and start a family. Or, maybe he’ll disappear and Ziva will come find him.

Either way, if we have to say goodbye to DiNozzo, we’d prefer it be because he decides to go off and live happily-ever-after with Ziva.

Could Michael Weatherly’s exit episode pave the way for a Tony and Ziva reunion? Or is it all wishful thinking? Let us know in the comments! NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
