And the exits just keep on coming!

Arden Cho announced today (April 11) that she will not be returning for season 6 of Teen Wolf. Cho bid farewell to her role as Kira Yukimura with a YouTube video, in which she discussed the reasoning behind her departure.

“A lot of you guys have been asking about Teen Wolf and what’s been happening, and  I just want to say I love Kira Yukimura so much. I love the Yukimura family. I loved my experience on Teen Wolf. I love the cast and crew, it’s been an amazing three-and-a-half years. It’s gone by so fast, but unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira’s storyline and she won’t be coming back for season 6,” said Cho.

The actress also apologized for recent interviews where she said she was excited for season 6, explaining, “I think at the time we were assuming that we were back.”

The last time fans saw Kira, she was ready to go off into the desert with the Skinwalkers. In her message, Cho expressed some regret that her character didn’t get a bigger send off.

“I thinks sometimes in a show where there are so many characters, there isn’t always room for everyone and everyone’s storylines,” said Cho. “I do wish we had developed a little bit more of her powers, and the Skinwalkers, and there would have been more of an epic ending.”

To that end, Cho hinted she’d be open to returning to the series to give her character some much-deserved closure.

Said Cho: “You never know with Teen Wolf, people might come back.”

Here’s hoping!
