Iggy Azalea definitely brought new meaning to the word “classic” in 2014.

With one radio-dominating hit after another, award nominations pouring in and the most-watched music video of the year title under her belt, the Australian-born rapper is finally reaping the benefits of her long journey towards fame.

Next up, Azlaea, who released her debut album, “The New Classic,” in April, will take the stage at People’s Choice Awards 2015 — and you can bet she’s going to leave a mark. Joining previously announced performers Lady Antebellum and Fall Out Boy, the singer is set to bring her sharp lyrics and swag to the fan-voted show. (As if that’s not enough of a feat, Azlaea is also a nominated for two People’s Choice Awards.)

9. The ambitious rapper matches a record previously set by the Beatles! Back in May, two of Iggy’s tracks, “Fancy” and “Problem,” ranked at No. 1 and 2 respectively on the Billboard Hot 100 chart — a feat which hadn’t been achieved by an artist since 1964.

8. Iggy considers Ms. Fran Fine from the ’90s sitcom, The Nanny, as one of her style inspirations. She’s even had her nails done to pay homage to the fictional caretaker with a distinct, nasally voice, who was played by comedian Fran Drescher.

7. In 2012, Iggy Azalea became the first female rapper to appear on XXL’s “Freshman Class” cover.

6. Azalea’s forearm tattoo, which reads “Trust Your Struggle,” is something she read on a wall when she first moved to Los Angeles to pursue music.

5. The statuesque beauty stands at 5’10″ tall, and consequently towers over recent collaborators Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora and especially the pint-sized Ariana Grande, who is only 5’0”.
