And that’s a wrap on the 2014 MTV’s Video Music Awards!

This year’s show was all about music, moon men, and yes, Beyoncé.

Celebrities flocked to the The Forum in Inglewood, Ca. to watch the year’s biggest artists take the stage at a show that’s never afraid to make history. With countless awards given out, including video and album of the year, and nine musical performances from Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, and Beyoncé (who took home the Vanguard Award), the night was definitely not short on excitement.

Your favorite stars pulled out all the stops on the red carpet, and were all over the map in terms of fashion. There was a little bit of everything this year: leather thigh-high boots from Ariana Grande, glamorous ball gowns from Kesha, Jennifer Lopez, Iggy Azalea, and Jessie J, and a sassy hot pants jumpsuit by Taylor Swift that threw the entire world a haymaker! Meanwhile, notorious VMA risk-taker Miley Cyrus kept it fairly tame in leather pants and a matching bandeau bra top.

Other notable fashion standouts from the night included Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale and Julianne Hough. Hale — who is undeniably the queen of crop tops — didn’t disappoint in a black leather piece by Sachin & Babi, which she paired with a printed Zimmerman midi skirt and Brian Atwood heels. Julianne Hough rocked a floor-length navy cut out Emilio Pucci dress.
