Sometimes you don’t need to visit a galaxy far, far away to find a true superhero.
Chris Pratt teamed with Marvel and Children’s Miracle Network Hospital earlier this week to arrange a special screening of Guardians of the Galaxy for patients, families, and staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
A screening of Guardians of the Galaxy is good. A visit from Star-Lord himself is beyond great.
Pratt stunned everyone in attendance by sneaking out during the movie only to come back dressed as his Guardians of the Galaxy alter-ego. The big-hearted Parks and Recreation actor didn’t just drop by for a quick appearance, Pratt reportedly spent more than three hours in full costume taking hundreds of photos, handing out movie-themed toys, and signing lots of autographs.
The actor also turned many a frown upside down by allowing several children the opportunity to wear his Guardians of the Galaxy gear, as evidenced by the photo below.
Pratt even spent extra time reciting various scenes from The Lego Movie with a patient who happened to recognize Pratt’s voice from the film.
Chris Pratt’s generosity is truly out of this world.
The final season of Parks and Recreation is scheduled to premiere midseason on NBC.
