Brace yourselves, Klaine fans.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Glee star Chris Colfer — who penned tonight’s highly anticipated Peter Pan-centric episode — teases that Kurt and Blaine may experience a bit of a rough patch during next week’s season finale.

“I think fans are going to like the final episode because it gets pretty dramatic with Kurt and Blaine,” Colfer tells EW. “But for the most part I think the season will end giving each character a nice season five send-off.”

A little drama is one thing, but should we be worried about Kurt and Blaine’s happily ever after as we inch closer to next year’s series finale? Colfer doesn’t believe so.

“Unless they plan a complete U-turn, I think he’ll definitely end up with Blaine,”  Colfer says. “I think a lot about Kurt, ever since we were introduced to him, is him trying to find happiness and validation from an outside source. But I would really like, before the series ends, for him to find the validation within himself and for him to realize that happiness is going to come from him, not from someone else. That would be a happy ending for me.”

That would be a happy ending for us all.

Glee’s fifth season finale will air May 13th on Fox.
