Question, what are your plans for May 6th, 2016? If we asked you that same question yesterday, the overwhelming response would have been, “Watching ‘Batman vs. Superman, obviously,” but it appears as though Marvel is throwing a wrench, or perhaps a shield, into our cinematic plans. After the Captain America sequel red, white, and blew away the box office competition in record setting fashion this weekend, Marvel has announced that our favorite patriot’s third installment will be released on the same day as the highly-anticipated Batman vs. Superman film.

Let’s see, how can we articulate our exact thoughts on this startling revelation…

Yikes. Maybe there really can be too much of a good thing. On May 6th, 2016 it’s going to be Captain America vs. Batman vs. Superman with special guest referee PANIC.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier earned an estimated $96.2 million domestically this weekend, an April box office record, but does Cap have enough mainstream appeal to defeat not one but two superhero icons in Batman and Superman? Looks like we’ll find out in 2016.

What do you think? Does your superhero allegiance lie with Captain America or is the allure of Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman too strong to ignore? Will you see both movies on opening night? Take the poll below and then head to the comments to discuss!
