Jimmy Fallon isn’t the only comedian with a new gig on his resume!

Saturday Night Live star Seth Meyers made his much-anticipated debut as the host of NBC’s Late Night yesterday — and fans have been weighing in on his performance ever since. The former Weekend Update anchor took the reigns from Jimmy Fallon, who replaced Jay Leno as the host of the Tonight Show last week.

While Fallon’s first show featured a parade of stars (including Robert DeNiro and Kim Kardashian), Meyers kept the limelight on two very special guests: former Weekend Update co-anchor Amy Poehler and Vice President Joe Biden.

Meyers — who’s certainly experienced in landing jokes — kicked things off by putting his own spin on the signature Late Night monologue.  Some notable bites:

“Washington DC 7-Eleven stores have begun selling Dorito coated cheese sticks. Because when 7-Eleven drops food on the floor, they don’t give up.”

“A Florida man is running for Congress as a write in candidate at the age of 101 years old.  He has a good chance of appealing to younger voters since that’s all there is.

Laughing out loud? Or completely not amused? We want to know how you would grade Seth Meyers’ first show. Vote below and see if your feedback is the same as other fans. Then head to the comments to tell us what you liked or didn’t like.
