Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, One Direction and Bruno Mars were among the winners at the 2014 BRIT Awards. The Arctic Monkeys won both the British Group and British Album of the Year awards, while recent Grammy award winner Lorde continued her 2014 award show dominance by defeating both Lady Gaga and Katy Perry to take home the prestigious International Female Solo Artist of the Year honor.

Some fan-favorite musicians made the trip across the pond to deliver a few stellar performances that we’ve stamped with the seal of “must see” approval. Watch below as Beyonce, Lorde and Bruno Mars delight the UK at the 2014 BRIT Awards!

1. Beyonce performs “XO”

What can you say about Beyonce that hasn’t already been said? She literally and figuratively sparkled in this performance, but to be fair, if Queen Bey stepped onstage and sang the phone book everyone would probably be like, “Now that’s some serious performance art! Marvelous! Five stars!”

2. Lorde, Disclosure and AlunaGeorge perform “Royals/White Noise”

Lorde teamed with two separate sets of English electronic musical duos, Disclosure and AlunaGeorge, to fascinate the audience with this uniquely electric performance.

3. Bruno Mars performs “Treasure”

Coming as no surprise, Mars delivers yet another stellar performance. However, the real shock was that the presenter didn’t preface Mars’ rendition of “Treasure” by declaring, “No need to look to the stars, open your eyes it’s Bruno Mars!” Get it together, everyone.

4. Katy Perry performs “Dark Horse”

Perry, dressed like a sexy, rainbow colored Twizzler for her Egyptian inspired performance, provided the most visually stunning offering of the night. It was as if someone suggested, “Hey, what about a ‘Walk Like an Egyptian’ meets a pack of renegade highlighters theme?” Fun performance by Team Perry!

5. Pharrell & Nile Rodgers perform “Get Lucky/Good Times/Happy”

There’s no such thing as a boring Pharrell performance, and this high-energy medley of hits was certainly no exception. For whatever reason we found ourselves a little distracted, but we can’t quite put our hat on it.

What was your favorite BRIT Awards performance?
