We have a double dose of Lea Michele for you this afternoon! The pitch perfect Glee star stopped by Ellen to perform her new hit single “Cannonball,” and while we were charmed by Michele’s vocal prowess, we’re still getting used to watching the talented singer perform outside the halls of McKinley High. We were half expecting Mr. Schue to pop in and attempt to teach us an important lesson about the value of tenacity by jumping on the couch and singing a Bon Jovi song.

Watch as Lea Michele performs “Cannonball” below!

In addition to her performance, Michele sat down with Ellen and opened up about how Kate Hudson helped her through a very difficult time after the death of Corey Monteith, as well as how she’s dealing with the grief. “What people also don’t understand is that going to work is no harder than being at home, and being in the house and opening up a closet and seeing a pair of shoes, ” Michele relayed to Ellen. ”Grief goes with you every day, whatever you’re doing.”

You can watch Michele’s entire interview with Ellen below.

    1. RE: The article title — His name’s Cory, not Corey.
    2. RE: The article itself — She performed /after/ the interview, not before.

Anyway, I watched the interview and performance when it aired, and I’m constantly astounded by how strong she’s been throughout this traumatic experience. Lea is honestly an incredible woman. I LOVE her new single. Can’t wait for the whole album in a few months. I can already tell it’s gonna be one of my highlights of 2014. :)

Not that it’s THAT big of a deal, but Lea performed after the entirety of the interview. Kinda bugs me when articles include information that isn’t factual.
