The young adult section of the library and its respective movie adaptations have recently spawned a lot of Halloween costume inspirations — from Lily Collins in Mortal Instruments to Shailene Woodley in Divergent — but we can all probably agree that Katniss Everdeen, the brave heroine of The Hunger Games trilogy, is the one that started them all.

Next: Get the look!

With Catching Fire set for a Nov. 22 release date (check out the latest trailer!), we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw more than a few Katniss Everdeen-types walking around this Halloween. To get her look, wear a simple black V-neck tee with army green cargo pants, like this pair from Old Navy. Lace up with combat boots fit for running through the Arena and a backpack to store all your supplies. Cover it all up in this Hunger Games-inspired windrunner or this Target version. And don’t forget Katniss’ most prized possessions: the bow and arrow and Mockingjay pin.

This Halloween, may the odds be ever in your favor (for delicious candy).

Which YA heroine will you be dressing up as this year?

  1. It could be the “I am” connected with an organisation, whatever
identifies it as a exactly what is, in plain english thee reach of that
influence, the extent and limit of their power. This is usually
a mst if you’ve got a hope of acting any magic tricks (successfully) before an
audience. Getting through those patterns could make us
    feel stuck, scared and alone.
