Ready to meet your new Christian Grey?
Irish actor and former Calvin Klein model Jamie Dornan has been tapped to play the titular role of Grey, a suave business man with a penchant for kinky bedroom action, in the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, Variety reports. The news comes on the heels of casting buzz that included Dornan in a round-up of could-be’s, including Alexander Skarsgard, Theo James and Christian Cooke.
Dornan, 31, has been favored for the role ever since Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam abruptly dropped out. He currently stars in the British TV series The Fall and has previously appeared in ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
Though the actor, who is reportedly in negotiations with the studio, has yet to comment on the news, 50 Shades fans (including celebs like Lena Dunham!) were quick to weigh in.

I’m a monstrous @JamieDornan1 fan. Wasn’t allowed to be attracted to him on The Fall bc he played a sexmurderer. 50 Shades is my big chance!
