Lauren Conrad surprised fans over the weekend with some major news — and major bling. The fashion designer and former reality star got engaged to musician boyfriend William Tell. Conrad shared the news on her blog and Instagram with the caption, “Best surprise ever.”
Beyond soon-to-be marital bliss, Conrad has been a busy lady: She’s a best-selling author, co-runs the popular blog The Beauty Department, designs Paper Crown, a line of feminine basics and party dresses, and just launched The Little Market, her new project that sells crafts made by artisans in developing countries around the world through fair trade.
But how about the rest of the cast? Let’s see where they are now:
Lauren Bosworth: It’s hard to talk about LC without talking about Lo. Since The Hills ended, LC’s outspoken, sarcastic bestie has jumped the California ship for New York, where she co-founded the party planning venture, Revelry House, which sells luxury party kits. She also shares her thoughts on the best in food, fashion and beauty on her site The Lo Down. She’s currently dating businessman Jeremy Globerson.
Audrina Patridge: She’s been on Dancing With the Stars and starred in her own (short-lived) reality series on Vh1, but Patridge has said that she’d like to take a break from reality (of the TV variety) to try out hosting. Looks like she got her wish: She’ll be hosting NBC’s travel series, 1st Look, early next year.
Speidi: Like peanut butter and jelly or French fries and ketchup — you can’t really mention Heidi or Spencer without lumping them together as Speidi. The couple were known for their off-the-wall antics on the show — 10 plastic surgeries in one day and crystal worship, anyone? — but their most recent move is a fake reality show, aptly titled SpeidiShow. Their goal was to see how much buzz they could create about a show that doesn’t even exist. Unfortunately, plenty of people fell for it. Fake show aside, the couple wishes Conrad all the best on her engagement and both “feel very sincerely that Lauren deserves to find happiness.” (She’s wasn’t the only former co-star to wish Conrad. Former Laguna Beach love, Stephen Colletti, also wished the couple.)
Kristin Cavallari: Married to a Chicago Bears quarterback and a doting mother of one? Who knew the resident trouble maker of Laguna Beach and The Hills could be so…domestic? Cavallari also designs shoes for Chinese Laundry and jewelry for GLAMBoutique. On the Mrs. front, she and Cutler guest-starred on a recent episode of The League and they’re trying for baby no. 2.
Justin Bobby: As LC said, Justin Bobby is “a man so great, he needed two names.” Besides posing as Patridge’s arm candy and stirring the pot between her and Cavallari, Justin Bobby was known for sporting the best (and most unruly) hair on the show. So, it should come as no surprise that Bobby’s post-Hills career involves running a hair salon called Brush Your Hair.
Which cast member was your favorite? Would you want to see a Hills reunion now?
