I Gotta Feeling

Today’s the day, people! It’s finally here… People’s Choice Awards 2013 is taking place TONIGHT, and to borrow from my favorite Black Eyed Peas hit, I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good (good) night!

We could not be more excited – it is hands down THE biggest, most important day of the year (OK, perhaps an exaggeration for some, but not for us here at the PCA production offices) but it’s also the day when you, the fans, get to finally see if your favorites – for whom you have cast a whopping 450 million votes – will take home the coveted crystal trophies.

In addition to the highly anticipated award moments hosted by Kaley Cuoco, we have not one, not two, but three amazing musical performances lined up for you. That’s right – the show will be jam packed with performances by chart topping hit makers Christina Aguilera, Jason Aldean and Alicia Keys. They will be gracing our stage to put on their first major performances of the year for none other than you, the People’s Choice Awards audience. And without giving too much away about what’s in store, just trust me when I say that they are sure to blow the roof off the Nokia Theatre tonight.

As if that weren’t enough, we also have another huge treat in store for you. Five time People’s Choice Award winner Sandra Bullock will be honored with the first-ever award for “Favorite Humanitarian” for her generous philanthropic efforts throughout her career. The Academy Award winning actress has an ongoing commitment to Warren Easton High School in New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Sandra adopted Warren Easton Charter High School less than six months after Hurricane Katrina closed the heavily damaged building. She has contributed funds for college scholarships for graduating seniors, band uniforms, athletic equipment and has helped fund the renovation of the auditorium and the construction of a school-based health clinic.  To celebrate these efforts, we will present Bullock with a custom Waterford Crystal trophy tonight, and you do not want to miss this emotional, tear jerking moment.

The stars will be coming out in droves. Don’t believe me? Just check out this incredible list of celebs who are scheduled to appear: Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey Jr., Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Casey Wilson. Not enough for you? How about Chris Colfer, Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, Jim Parsons, Ellen Pompeo, Lea Michele, Shemar Moore, Emma Watson and Naomi Watts… oh, and then there’s Jensen Ackles, Stephen Amell, Ellen DeGeneres, Johnny Galecki, Josh Hutcherson, Regina King, Jennifer Lawrence, Chloë Grace Moretz, Olivia Munn, Chris O’Donnell, Jason O’Mara, Jared Padalecki, Eddie Redmayne, The Wanted and many more. ‘Nuf said.

So, tune in tonight at 9/8c on CBS and don’t miss a moment! But first, catch the LIVE red carpet arrivals show, co-hosted by Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger and DailyCandy Chief Correspondent SuChin Pak, featuring special commentary from fashion expert Tim Gunn. The action will be taking place right outside the Nokia Theater in downtown LA, and we’ll be streaming live right here on PeoplesChoice.com, as well CBS.com, UStream.com and Facebook.com/peopleschoice – plus if you have an XBox, you can also tune in on your Xbox Live for a special interactive experience.

And before you ask Siri to remind you to tune in tonight, voice your choice in today’s featured poll:
Sandra Bullock will be receiving a special award tonight on People’s Choice Awards 2013. Which of her films is your favorite?

This show is such a sham. A bunch of teenybopper nonsense. What a waste of time.

  3. Penelope says:

In this blog you celebrate the millions of votes caste, but dont mention they were a waste of time. I just read the small print….the People’s Choice Award is really the People’s Attendance Award. The people’s votes don’t count unless the celebrity attends. You should publish the attendees before the people waste their time. If it isn’t a real award show, that’s fine, just don’t advertise it as such.

  4. Esther says:

Except for the very well-deserved Humanitarian Award given to Sandra Bullock & Alicia Keys’ performance, the show was bland, unfunny, and it was ridiculously obvious who the winners were just by looking at the people sitting in the front rows! No element of surprise at all!!! By the way, your blog sucks!

  5. beam says:

Robert Downey Jr should be won for Favorite Action Movie Star not Favorite Movie Actor.I was sure people choice Johnny Depp for Favorite Movie Actor.

  13. Rodney Lester says:

This should be renamed The Teenage Girl Choice Awards. These “winners” were obviously chosen by 14 year old girls.

  14. Alex says:

Pcas were rigged. Jb or 1d should of won best fan following Katy Kats were at the bottom 3 the whole time..?

  15. Laura Burton says:

I thought CSI should have won for crime series over the stupid castle show. with all due respect to the show, but CSI is a way better show than castle and it has a better story line. It has been on for 13 seasons and it still kicks ass for being an aging show.

  16. Amanda says:

What pray tell does Glee have to do with comedy and how come to girls from Two Broke Girls were not included in the group? Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco by far are a whole lot funnier then the two winners. Lo and behold Ellen just happened to present the awards imagine that. Oh is Ellen a guy or a girl you can’t tell anymore by the way she dresses and throws out comments to her friends who are well….. you know! I will no longer be watching the People’s Choice Awards not worth my time just like Ellen’s show. No I’m not “Anti-Gay” I have many friends who are but they don’t rub it in my face.
