We’re really in the thick of it, folks! People’s Choice Awards 2013 is right around the corner and we could not be more excited! But before we get too slap happy over here at the PCA HQ, we’ve got to take care of some important business first. A few weeks ago we asked you to help us choose new categories to add to the big show (and what a mighty fine job you did at that) and now it’s time we ask for your help yet again.  Starting today, we are opening our nominee pool to you, the fans, to help us narrow down our lists to an official 5 nominees per category.

While most categories are sitting pretty with 12 potential nominees to chose from, per People’s Choice Awards tradition, we’ve also left a space for you to write-in your favorites should you not see them listed. And if you think, “Oh psshh.. those guys will never see my write-in vote,” rest assured because we can happily remind you that the lovely Ms. Nina Dobrev made her way to the official nominee list last year for Favorite TV Drama Actress by way of write-in vote, and was then voted all the way to the winner’s circle!

Our nominee process is a tedious one, and one we take very seriously — every year, potential nominees are determined by national ratings averages, box office grosses, music sales and data, then vetted through EPoll Market Research (so yeah, we mean business.)

We’ve got a great pool of potential nominees to chose from in 46 categories.  Check out our new cats (the ones YOU helped choose) below:

Favorite Face of Heroism
Favorite On-Screen Chemistry

Favorite Movie Fan Following

Favorite Celebrity Judge

Favorite New Talk-Show Host

Favorite Premium Cable TV Show

Favorite Breakout Artist

So what are you waiting for? CLICK HERE to start voting for your favorites NOW! You can vote as often as you like until voting closes on November 2 — and make sure to come back on November 15 to see which of your favorites are named official nominees of People’s Choice Awards 2013. Happy Voting!

And if you can peel yourself away from voting for just on second, voice your choice in today’s featured poll and tell us which past or future guest star on Happy Endings, which premieres tonight, is your favorite?

Mark Paul Gosselaar (Season 3)
Brian Austin Green (Season 2)

Big Time Rush really deserves this award! Its not fair that you are underestimating them just because they are on a kids TV show.

  2. Eugene says:

Big Time Rush dereserve this. They’re very talented and many people not recognize it yet. I mean, Justin is talented, but he had been nominated for many categories. Can just BTR have a chance to be nominated??

  3. krissy says:

BTR deserved a nomination. Way to go PCA… the same people…shows…bands are nominated as usual. Way to ignore the people. And by the way, tweeting to rushers that you “heard ” us during the nomination process and then failing to include them the nomination lists is lame. I bet they got more votes than others but you chose to snub them anyway. And thar is why the PCAs suck.

Big Time Rush deserve to be nominated. I’m sick & tired of the 1D & Justin Bieber crap ALL THE DAMN TIME. Time for #Change. Come on PCA! BTR needs the recognition they deserve.

  5. Tonya says:

BIG TIME RUSH deserves to win, they are amazing and they’ve been nominated on other things and didn’t win please let them be. I love BTR, they are extremely talented and can sing way better than most people today. I will always be a rusher.

  6. Curtis says:

    Katy Perry as Wonder Woman

Adam Lambert is again left off this…why?? He is amazing…best male vocalist out there…Trespassing is a fantastic cd…all the songs are great …including the extra cuts..His two videos, Better Than I Know Myself and Never Close Our Eyes great…his cd was number one on Billboards when released…He sells out all his concerts…He has a huge worldwide following…He and Queen killed it together…hands down the best live event in 2012…No one is as good as him live…seen him twice and was totally blown away by his voice and performance…Why PCA? Why do you diss him yet again?

  8. Curtis says:

I hope The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, & Madagascar 3 all get nominated for Favorite Movie as well as Dark Shadows. I don’t care what anyone says, that movie was awesomely dark and funny!

However, why wasn’t Christian Bale listed for Favorite Movie Actor? He was brilliant in all three movies and he deserves a nom. He and Anne Hathaway should also be recognized for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. They worked so well together! Everyone write them in!

Anne Hathaway better also go all the way to win Favorite Movie Actress. Sorry Jen Lawrence, Scarlett Johansson, & Emma Stone, I love you, and you all deserve to be nominated, but Anne Hathaway was just too amazing as Catwoman and she simply MUST win!

Also, I’m just curious: why are all of the listed choices for Favorite Movie Icon women? I have nothing against any of them at all, but I don’t see why they couldn’t have listed among them guys like Johnny Depp, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, or Woody Harrelson. No biggie though, that’s why we have the write-in option.

  9. Ilse Winchester says:

EVERYONE! Vote for #Supernatural! Vote for Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, #Supernatural and #SPNfamily! WE’VE GOT TO WIN!

  10. Ilse Winchester says:

Let’s go, #SPNfamily! We can win! Vote for #Supernatural, Jensen, Jared and for us! #SPNfamily! :D

  11. Heather says:

Robert Carlyle should be a nom for Best Dramatic Actor on a TV show. His character (Rumple) on Once Upon A Time is trending all over the world on Twitter, he admittedly keeps the other actors on the show on their feet, and the part was originally written for him! Come on, everyone, let’s get him the recognition he deserves!!!

  12. Anna says:

It’s really quite sad that the Winner of last year’s Best Network Drama (which BTW wasn’t shown being awarded onair WTF?) has to be a write in AGAIN this year.

    Shame on you People’s Choice.

  13. Zina says:

SUPERNATURAL!!!! LETS WIN THIS THING AGAIN….only so our boys get the chance to go on stage this time.

  14. Shaylie says:

“every year, potential nominees are determined by national ratings averages, box office grosses, music sales and data, then vetted through EPoll Market Research (so yeah, we mean business.)”

Kristen Stewart is the highest paid actress in Hollywood and has had 2 #1 movies for the past year alone and her film On The Road was also nominated for Cannes. Can I ask why she has not been on your list since last year? Just curious.
