Celebrity Couples Who Met On Set

Congratulations are in order. Several celebrity engagements have been announced this holiday season. And you wonder – is this a coincidence with the time of year, or no? See, I never know if it’s because the celebrity genuinely wanted to be with family when they popped the question (and the couple had some actual down time where they could do that “we’re going out for a walk” thing in the snow only to return red-cheeked and betrothed), or if a publicist told them to do it now because it looks homey. Still, regardless of the hows and whys, our congrats go out to Hugh Hefner, Eddie Cibrian, LeAnne Rimes, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Mraz and Tristan Prettyman. Among others.

Speaking of which, Natalie Portman is having quite a year. It’s just been announced that she is marrying – and carrying the child of  –  her hunky French-born bf, who also happens to be an actor in and choreographer of Black Swan.  I remember him from the film, and of course when you’re watching the credits who wouldn’t notice a choreographer who’s last name is “Millepied” (which means ‘thousands of feet’ in French).  In entirely unrelated but equally quirky name news, there’s a huge archeological story out today about 400,000 year old human remains findings in Israel that could change everything we know about early man’s origins. Now, however significant these findings might be, they could only pale by comparison once I discovered the name of the Dig’s Chief Archeologist, which was Aviv Gopher.

Anyway congratulations to Natalie Portman and her hub-to-be. I may be one of the few people who found the hit film Black Swan wafting artily and frighteningly over my head. Just didn’t get the hype, but more than anything else, I was terrified by all the suspense (and believe me, there is plenty of it). Will Portman get an Oscar nod? Undoubtedly. Will she win? Also quite likely;  I wouldn’t bet against it.  But no matter what happens, she’s embarking on 2011 with a glorious full plate and a fella who wants to make it official.  So for today’s poll I was going to talk about celebrity couples who, like Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, met on set. Clearly in Hollywood, there are lots of them but of late, an alarming number seems to have gone the way of the buffalo (think about it: C.Cox & D. Arquette, J. Lo&Ben, Shia L.&Carrie M., Vanessa & Zac, Blake Lively & Penn Badgeley – each of these couples met cute on set before purchasing his and hers one-way tickets on the Splitzville Express). Looking for some hot young twosomes I was finally able to locate some for-all-intents-and-purposes-still-cooking-pairs in Parade Mag). Now voice your choice in today’s featured poll and tell us which of these couples that met on set is your favorite?

1)   Will & Jada

2)   Brad & Angie

3)  Rob & Kristen

4)   Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos

My favorite couple that met on set would have to be Rob and Kristen.. a big fan of their work, long before the Twilight Saga (Kristen Stewart) and one actress that had inpired me last year and as of now to change my life.. I vote for Rob and Kristen… =) Kristen has inspired me to loose weight after having 3kids and myself of being tired of how I looked. Kristen with a body that is beautiful in many ways. Inspired me to get mine at least close enough that I am very happy about myself and carry more of myself than I ever in my whole life time..=)
