Late Night Sniping, Best of Glee (Part 1)

Happy Thursday. The Conan/Leno saga continues. Your comments on yesterday’s poll were great, although I probably wouldn’t  send Jimmy Fallon to our site today if he’s looking for a warm & fuzzy ego boost.  In the Plot-Thickening-Department, apparently David Letterman has now invited Conan to come on his show as a guest.  Smart move on Dave’s part?  Or just more pot-stirring?  (Or both).  Know who’s really winning in all this drama?  Late night TV is, because everyone’s tuning in to watch the guys duke it out in monologues.  In music news, even though you all really, really like Susan Boyle, she’s no longer #1 on the charts — that honor has gone to Ke$ha with her “Animal”.  Enough said.  Now on to something more serious, because there are clearly some devastating  things going on in the world right now.  And in response to the crisis in Haiti, people everywhere  are mobilizing.  In fact, something quite positive has come out of Tinseltown — not a place always associated with oh, say genuine, heartfelt (or always speedy) concern.  Lots of stars are helping out.  And, we’re told Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million to relief aid in Haiti.  Which seems, regardless of what you think of that couple, and by anyone’s standards, a pretty cool gesture.  Now, we have a music obituary: multiple Grammy-nominated R&B singer/songwriter Teddy Pendergrass passed away at age 59.  Best known for the songs “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” and “Love TKO”,  Teddy rose to fame initially as the lead singer of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes.  (On a personal and somewhat random note, I would point out that Teddy also lived for many years in a very fancy house at the end of my street in suburban Philadelphia, and that he was a very nice neighbor).  So with all this downer news, let’s turn to something a bit more lighthearted.  As in, which People’s Choice-winning TV show just got renewed for a second season? That would be Fox’s Glee.  Not particularly surprising.  Thus, time for a Glee poll.  Because while the show is pretty beloved, it’s got fans in several camps of belovedness.  With this in mind voice your choice in today’s featured poll and tell us which of these Glee cast members is your favorite:

1) Matthew Morrison

2) Jane Lynch

3) Cory Monteith

4) Lea Michele

I LOVE GLEE…. one of the smartest comedies on the air right now. Great scripts and amazing cast. I adore Will… who would not fall in love with him as your teacher. And Rachel is perfect, with her voice, and her clothes, and that attitude. Finn, what a cutie and so naive that you just have to love him…. BUT… Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester…. INCREDIBLE.!! I have no idea how she can deliver her lines with such finesse and not crack up, or make the rest of the cast laugh their butts off… She is the winner in my book…. but like I said I LOVE GLEE…Can’t wait for the new season to start again.
