And there are almost as many moms as young adults. Let me just add that, really, I have nothing against Taylor as a person! She’s very cute, she writes music that appeals to young people (which is great for any artist, and Carrie writes too)! But I’ll also say that the girl has GUTS to get up on stage and try, at least. But why she’s getting all these awards is because little kids are voting for her. That’s it!
I love David Archuleta, who has a MUCH wider audience than Taylor. He’s loved by kids, teens, adults ~ all ages, actually. Just go to one of his concerts and you’ll see why! The guy can REALLY, REALLY SING! Just listen to his new Christmas album, and you’ll see what I’m talking about!
Do you know why Taylor wins all these awards? Only ONE ANSWER! Her fans are all little kids, and they know how to “vote & buy” ~ or at least get their parents to buy! And it gives you no right to be mean. If you called her too skinny or ugly you are probably just jealous of her. I love Carrie Underwood, but I just relate to Taylor better and prefer her. Both are extremely talented and can sing extremely well. So can P!nk, Beyonce, and Brittany. But in my opinion Taylor has done the most things this year and is my favorite. I for one am a fan of both of the girls but will say that when I compare Carrie Underwood’s live performance to Taylor’s. Carrie outshines her in that aspect. I really did not enjoy the People’s Choice Awards at all. It was a waste of my time. It seems that all the winners knew who they were before the show started & only the winners showed up. It seemed very disorganized & we were not even told all of the winners. Will not watch next year.

Y’all might think that Taylor can’t sing…but there are more people that think she can then can’t. She has sold more albums then Carrie will ever dream of selling, she has done more in her life then Carrie will ever dream of doing and is so much younger than Carrie. Carrie has a voice, that I will give her, but she can only stand still and sing, well and date athletes. But Taylor can right her own songs and play instruments..that’s what Taylor I think should concentrate on doing more then singing. I myself don’t think she has the best singing voice, but she is winning awards for being out there and writing the songs that is getting her noticed. Carrie, well, she has people do all of that for her. I think there is more to a musician than just singing…you want to hear another side of them, not just their voice. She can sing (compared to a lot of people), write great songs, produce albums, help create a major tour, and play an instrument, how many artists can say that? I have read a lot that Taylor is just a product of marketing, but if it was not American Idol would there be a Carrie Underwood?
