And you know what? Hugh’s in a tricky spot because he’s won everything before and he’s English with that wit and potentially lethal tongue …but somehow he manages to say just the right amount while maintaining his general style and level of class. Imagine if you had won EVERYTHING on account of being the world’s most appealing sourpuss …and you’re in country that isn’t yours natively …the guy could have just given us a throwaway “thanks! cheers!” but he didn’t. So I’m impressed.
You people who wanted Mark Harmon to win don’t know what talent is. They could film his first NCIS appearance and just keep using it for all the episodes. His expression never changes and everything he does is repeated over and over.

NCIS is definitely a better show than House in my opinion! I have tried to watch House to see what the fascination is but sorry….I just don’t see it. NCIS has it all, interesting story lines, comedy(who can resist Gibbs slapping Tony’s head or Ducky’s endless stories or Ziva’s slaughtering of the english language or Abby’s quirky tendancies or McGee’s struggle to get past the proby image), just enough drama. What more can be said?
I was really happy for Huge last night. I love getting to hear his british accent. If you didn’t know, he is also a great author. I just finished his spy thriller The Gin Seller. I couldn’t put is down. Highly recommend. I was a little disappointed with Taylor Lautner winning. Don’t get me wrong, I love him in New Moon but I am a huge Sam Worthington fan. I am so excited that he is finally breaking out in to american films. His Aussie films though are what got me a long time ago. Somersault, Getting Square and now Avatar… I can’t wait for Clash of the Titans.
I really like Hugh and House M.D., but I was really wanting Mark Harmon to win. He does an absolutely amazing job every week as Gibbs. I wanted NCIS to win as a show too. NCIS has been overlooked for so long, and its finally getting the ratings it has deserved for so long, but it still seems to be getting overlooked at award shows.
Lucy: If you think Mark Harmon is a better actor than Hugh Laurie, you really need better taste or maybe glasses and a hearing aid!
Hugh Laurie is AMAZING in HOUSE and deserves to win EVERY award bestowed on him.

Hugh Laurie did deserved this award and so did House, they were ROBBED a the Emmys, House is just one of the best (if not the very best) TV drama series of the decade.
Its amazing how Hugh does it because he is not only mastering a pretty flawless american accent, he is also donig it while walking with a limp and half of what he says is in latin or really, really complicated medical terms.
If anyone here is a Haouse fan, like myself, would now that “Broken” the first episode of the 6th season of House is a freakin’ masterpiece it has everything a drama series should have through out its course, which they managed to condense into a 2hr episode, so i would like to thank in behalf of everyone not only the amazing cast, but the writers and crew that managed to produce this amazing Tv show.
To wrap it up, congrats Hugh Laurie and House, im sorry you were robbed of the chance of standing up twice instead of the honor to do it for both categories you won last night and if anyone disagrees F…Y..!

I’m really happy for Mr. Laurie in receiving his award after being snubbed at the Emmy Awards. Though I am confused why they didn’t announce House as the best drama separately? If it was lack of time, I would rather have had less sketches and songs so that I could see all of the categories.

This was one of the worst People choice Awards I have watched—-you had so much other stuff going on that we didnt even get to see half the awards given to the winners—its People choice not the grammys or lets do a skit show after every commercial–hope you can do better next year and give the awards on the show so everyone can see the winners

Mark Harmon should have won. Period! NCIS is #1, has been great for years. I’m not sure what the fascination is with actors that have rough sides. Maybe it is just Doctors. Personally, if my Doctor was like him, I would change Doctors. My opinion, nothing to like about him.

Like House, but have to say Mark Harmon is a better actor on NCIS. It is a shame that neither him or the NCIS show won.. after all they do have the highest ratings. Would love to know how close the call was, would also be interesting to know how many duplicate IP’s voted.
I love both House and NCIS, but I was hoping for some NCIS love on PCA…
I think someone needs to “Gibbs Smack” a few of the voters – I agree that Laurie is a great actor and at times awesome in his role, but NCIS would not be the same without Leroy Jethro Gibbs – I would rather watch syndicated episodes on these 2 shows than watch the junk they have on network TV, besides how can anyone resist that Mark Harman smile when they talk about his marriages (lol)

I have to agree with Jennifer. I have watched both House and NCIS…and I say that the award definately should have gone to NCIS! The characters are much more dramatic and very good. Also, I think that Mark Harmon should have won the award for Favorite Male Drama Actor. He portrays Gibb’s character SOOOO well. Just my 2 pennies worth.
I did not like any of the nominee winners. There must be more teenagers voting than adults. I don’t know half those artists in music. NOt my taste in music. Who runs this thing. Anyone over the age of 21?

I like House as much as the next person I suppose… it’s a good show and I do watch it… However I am an NCIS addict and truly feel that NCIS should have won for Best TV Drama! They are the ones that deserved it, not House! House’s team doesn’t have the intrigue or dynamic that Gibbs’ team does! There is better drama in NCIS! =]

UGOGIRL!!! A couple of weeks ago during holiday re-run season, I caught Taylor hosting and musicalco-hosting SNL. That’s when I realized her incredible range as the consummate new artist of the decade.
We already knew of her great musical talent…that’s a given and on that alone deserved the award last night.
Well that intelligent gal used her singing talent to perform the first “MUSICAL MONOLOGUE” in SNL History vs. the typical chit chat from any other host before. And that’s when I realized what a great comedienne she is, the key phrase being, “And this is my musicalmonologue … la la, la la,la la”!
