It’s Tuesday…and before we get to our final DWTS poll, let’s discuss some other newsy odds & ends. As in, buh-bye Jon & Kate plus 8 …how do you feel about the final episode of TLC’s hit show that drew zillions of fans, prompting everything from obsession and adoration to rage and ridicule from most of them? Both Jon and Kate spoke separately and used words like “bittersweet”, blaming “youth” for the mishaps. They say the kids too are “already missing” the show. (If you ask me, glad they quit when they did as those kids need all the time they can get to invest — and invest wisely — because something’s going to have to cover what I’m betting will be whopping therapy bills). Moving on, you know that Taylor Swift cleaned up at the AMA’s…and that Rihanna and Lady GaGa sparkled as well. But there was someone else who may have done a little too much em, “R-rated” sparkling , and I am of course referring to bad boy Adam Lambert whose showstopping performance is being called “too raunchy” and “sexually risque”. Did you see it? Do you agree? It does look a little racy, although I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this boy’s tricks. And with a very popular brand new album in stores now, he’s seems almost unstoppable. Speaking of unstoppable, the big question today — it is Tuesday, after all — is just who will be stopped on tonight’s DWTS finale? Who will take that mirror ball home to rest for 2009? All I have to say is that Adam is thinking that its sexists that all females do it but no one wants to c a guy do that I mean fuckin kids were watching. I really did like him but now Im into only his music he so disgusts me.
i was disgusted by adam lambert, he couldn’t hold a tune n scream his lungs out. I was looking forward to watching him at the ama award and the show was great, until he came on , he stated everyone was doing adult material but he has not even earned his stripes….. he just started he’s no super star!!! i have reown kids and they all feel the same way. When he was on american idol i googled him and he was doing shows w the gay communities similar as what we viewed, i thought maybe he was paying his way through college, now i know he’s trying to bring it mainstream america, I am not a holy roller but My Goodness don’t Go there Adam!!!!! Leave your show on the under way under!!!!
On Adam Lambert – probably not a very wise move to ambush everyone on national TV like that with his sexual risque performance. BUT I kinda get how it fits the song very well though. It was inappropriate to a certain degree and for certain age groups.
It may be a little sexist to make a big deal outta his performance because when performers like Britney Spears or even Lady Gaga display provocative acts, not many people make a big issue outta it.
My main problem with that performance wasn’t all the sexual drama that everyone’s talking about but, I was kinda disappointed with his singing that night. However, it is not right to judge him based on that performance alone, which I admit was not fantastic vocally. For those who have watched American Idol Season 8, you would know for sure that Adam Lambert can sing WAY better than that.
I do admire Lambert’s courage to not be what everyone else expects him to be, pushing boundaries. He’s definitely a unique prominent star with abundant talent. His album “For Your Entertainment” is a really good album with many different genres and ALL the tracks sounds great, although some may be overproduced, slightly shadowing his amazing voice.
Despite everything else and of course others condemning and criticising him, I appreciate talented daring interesting artists like Adam Lambert, and I’m proud to continue being a Glambert fan. =)
I think Adam’s performance was not only disgusting, it was bad: he could scream but couldn’t sing well, the song was uninteresting, the choreography was stupid and Adam looks really dreadful when he sings !
I happen to think that Adam has it all. Not only is he a brilliant performer, he is also a very sharp businessman and I believe that he knows exactly what he is doing. He knows how to keep his name out there.
I would love to see Donny win, however, I wouldn’t be disappointed to see Kelly win either.
As far as Adam Lambert’s performance…I felt it was in bad taste. My 9 year old son loves to watch the award shows with me, CMA, AMA, etc., and needless to say, I was scrambling for the remote and trying to cover his eyes at the same time. If that is the kind of show he wants to put on at his concerts, that’s well and good. You pay for a ticket and you know what to expect…so kids stay home, but on TV? They silenced the curse words in the other songs, but they allowed that? Some of the songs I didn’t really care for, but really enjoyed the artists’ performances. When they spoke of Adam’s upcoming performance, I thought it was going to be a spectacular light show or something like the other performers did, but I was not expecting what he did.
I never watched Jon and Kate, but their chaos being all over the TV and on the covers of the magazines, it wasn’t hard to figure out what those kids were going through. Maybe they should think about providing some normalcy for their children. Besides, I have my own share of drama…I sure don’t need theirs!
I feel Donny should win the Finale on Dancing with the stars. He is a performer and in the past a talk show host.He really did not do much dancing at all. So this is wonderful that Donny can really dance.He has really worked hard alot of time and dedication. He is really really good I think he is the best out of all of them!
