What’s Next: Wild Things, Vamps, or Video?

Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are did boffo box office biz this weekend ($32 million), which is not surprising, although lots of people are saying it’s not exactly kid-friendly, on account of the fear factor. Clearly the terrifying  movies are selling right now, and the biggest box office surprise is Paranormal Activity, which is reported to be scaring the living daylights out of everyone who sees it (plus, it’s also scared up 20 million bucks in earnings — and they made it for a measly $11,000…even I can do that math). Tis the season — the Scream Awards celebrated both the Vampire Diaries and True Blood. With Halloween not far off,  everyone’s looking for spooky stuff to catch. That said…what will you see next at your local cineplex? Will you go catch Where The Wild Things Are and leave the kids at home? Will you see Zombieland for a good old-fashioned Woody Harrelson-style scare? Will you see  The Vampire’s Assistant (which is already generating a good deal of good buzz?) Or will you screw up your courage and take part in Paranormal Activity (and report back since you couldn’t pay me to watch this – I can barely watch the trailer). Voice your choice in today’s featured poll and let us know if you’re up for a good scare or not,  and what flick you’ll go see next.

1) Where The Wild Things Are

2) Zombieland

I want to see Zombieland because Abigail Breslin is in it. But it’s rated “R” so my mom won’t let me. :( But I saw Where The Wild Things Are on Sunday and REALLY liked it! It’s really good but not scary AT ALL! And I’m only 13, besides, it IS rated “PG.”
