Pick a Pair For Dinner

Today I’d like to see who you’d most like to dine with…you get one meal with a celebrity pair and that’s all, except you can ask them anything you want…

So yesterday we talked about who earns what, and of course it’s probably impolite to discuss things like money or religion at the dinner table — no matter how very outrageous some of Hollywood’s biggest stars’ paychecks might be. Which got me wondering — what with a couple of big movies opening tomorrow, one of which is headlined by a MAJOR BREADWINNER — just what would you talk about at the dinner table with some of these folks, if given the chance.

So it dawned on me…Brad Pitt is making a whole lot of noise to promote his new film Inglourious Basterds (directed by Quentin Tarantino) and regardless of the current status their relationship, Angelina is dutifully standing by her man on behalf of the film. So they’re on the go. Then of course we have Jon and Kate Gosselin and who knows what’s happening there but they have to show up some places together (to secure those $1.5 million dollar paychecks). Which brings me to another celeb couple (Jessica Szohr & Ed Westwick) with a lot of heat riding on their show (Gossip Girl) and how it’s in their best interest to show up together, everywhere. With this in mind, which celebrity couple would you most like to have dinner with?

1) Brad and Angelina

2) Jon and Kate

3) Jessica & Ed

I’m just a gossip hound but I consider it fair game. It’s all about being in the public eye and taking responsibility for your own actions…

I like juicy gossip and have been hooked since I was 13. No sense in denying it, but I’m sure I am not the only one who likes to hear it all:) Thanks for making it happen…

I really liked your blog! super

None of the above. I agree with the poster re Burnett and Alda. At least they have an original thought between them, a certain degree of familiarity with the real world, and a tremendous amount of talent.

None of the above. I’d choose Carol Burnett and Alan Alda. Not a pair in real life, but what a pair of comic greats!!

  6. Jen says:

None of the above! Now if Will and Jada were an option, that would be my pick.

If I had to choose from those three, it would have to be Brad and Angelina. At least they’re humanitarians.

I think Jack Nicholson could provide a pretty interesting dinner conversation. Agree with none of the above on these choices.

Brad and Angelina! I was against the movie being released but it seems they both support the work on the film.

I would like to have dinner with Jon and Kate and see just how weird these 2 people are.I have stopped watching their show due to it is not the same and also BORING!!!!! Those 8 kids are still really precious, to bad the both of them went their seperate ways they had the world by the heart and to stupid to realize it, some where in time they loved each other or they would have never had 8 children, they both need God in their lives for sure

Angelina & Brad. No Contest. Add Bono and his wife and you have a stimulating evening. Really, the other couples? What are you thinking?

  13. Jay says:

Brad & Angie, definitely! He is such a nice guy, and Angie is so interesting & intelligent for someone who used to be such a wild child! (Which i have to admit i sort of miss!) I think spending a weekend with these 2 (minus the kids!!!) would be awesome!

  14. Theda Zaretsky says:

Are you kidding? Where is option “none of the above”.

  15. Christina says:

um, did I just say “Brad & Jen”?? wow, I guess I still haven’t gotten over that… sorry Angie.

  16. Christina says:

Brad & Jen for sure – as much as we might be sick of hearing about them, it’s undeniable how interesting their lives must be, and to spend an evening with them would be pretty cool.
