Best Movie Trailers of All Time

One of my favorite email newsletters is called Very Short List. When you sign up at http://www.veryshortlist.com, you receive a daily recommendation for a cool movie, DVD, website, book, TV show, CD, or some other pop culture gem. You owe it to yourself to check it out if you’re not already a recipient.

Last Friday, they recommended the IFC’s list of the 50 Greatest Movie Trailers of all Time. The list includes classics likes A Night at the Opera and Citizen Kane, as well as modern fare like Speed and The Lord of the Rings. Check it out at http://www.ifc.com/news/2009/06/50-greatest-trailers.php.

The scarier the trailer the better, as the IFC’s top three picks are Alien, Psycho and Cloverfield. Which of these movie trailers is your favorite? Voice your choice in today’s featured poll.
