Is Paula Abdul leaving American Idol?

Ryan Seacrest nailed down his $45 million deal to continue hosting American Idol for the next three years, but the question remains as to who of the four judges will be back next season. The word is that Paula Abdul is not happy with her contract negotiations and may not return. This makes me really sad.

Say what you will about Paula, but you’ve got to admit that she brings unpredictable excitement to the show. I, for one, think it would be a big loss for the Idol franchise were she not to come back to the judge’s desk.

If Paula moves on and the other three return, who would be your favorite judge: Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi or Randy Jackson? Voice your choice in today’s featured poll. And as far as Paula’s Idol negotiations are concerned, they better figure it out before the auditions start next month. “How about some information, please?”

Hey Wood do you even know what Paula has accomplished in her career? Paula has won many musical awards, such as a Grammy, 7 MTV video awards, 2 Emmy awards, and 2 People’s Choice Awards. On top of all that she’s had two #1 hit albums and seven #1 hit singles. To add to that she has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. She has done well for herself, and plans to write/sing/choreograph for as long as she can. She has choreographed videos for George Michael, Debbie Gibson, Dolly Parton, Janet Jackson and ZZ Top. So, do not think for one minute she would not have a job. That is ridiculous ….. she is the only one on the panel that I look to for the real story. If Paula says you were not good then you were not… she might be nice and polite but she does not let you think you can sing if you cannot.

Ok,Simon if your reading…the show is all about chances, I am just as big of a dork as Paula. Why don’t you let me judge for a season, get a “Real Person’s” input. I’m just a cute as the rest of them. I love Paula, but I think the money thing is way out of control. I love Paula and I’ve come to depend on her to lighten the load, but I can do the same for less…let’s call me the “American Idol Stimulus Plan”.
