Megan Fox and Shia Labeouf in Transformers

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opened yesterday. Were you first in line? Did you buy your tickets weeks in advance on Fandango? Did you track down that Optimus Prime toy you’ve been keeping in the attic since the ’80s?

My answer to all these questions is a resounding, “No.” Look, I’m not anti-Transformers; it’s just not a franchise that’s been a part of my pop culture life. I didn’t watch the TV show and, even though the complete first season was just released on DVD, I have no intentions of doing so. In short, I have no nostalgia for Autobots and Decepticons.

But I’m mildly curious about the movie sequel that opened yesterday, and there isn’t much else being released this weekend that has me jonesin’ to visit the multiplex. Should I go? You tell me.  And voice your choice in today’s featured poll about what draws you to the flick: is it Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, or the ‘bots themselves?

  1. Do many people use a wedding planner to reduce the stress of getting married. The organising was quite an ordeal and I must admit the idea of a wedding planner would have been worth it for me!

  2. wether it is the Transformers animated version or movie version. you can expect some good robot action. I love Transformers.

  3. Transformers movie rocks. i am a fan of Transformers ever since childhood. Now i have three kids and they all like the Transformers cartoon series and the Movie.

  4. I watched the Transformers cartoon version during my childhood days. It is nice to know that good computer graphics brought the Transformers back again. I wish to see more of the Dinobots in action perhaps on another sequel.

Yes, we ordered tickets online, and we went to the Midnight show on Wednesday AM. We were never interested in the toys, comics, or shows. But our suriosity was up when the first one came out. We loved it. We also liked the second one, just too much bad language, to many sexy inuendos that were not needed. Bothe actors did a great job, but it is fascination of how everything worked to make the movie is what gets me. My granddaughter wants me to go see it again with her & her parents this week-end. I probably would go back and I would recommend it. But my favorite by far this summer is The Proposal!
