Dreamworks Animation Sequels

The fine folks at Dreamworks Animation have announced the release dates for the next installments in three of their movie franchises: Shrek Forever After comes out May 21, 2010, Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom will hit theaters June 2, 2011, and the third Madagascar film will debut May 25, 2012.

If it’s wrong to be excited for something that’s three years away, I don’t want to be right. I was lucky enough to see an early screening of the first Shrek months before it was released and I got to attend the premiere of the first Madagascar film. (Before you think I’m a total snob, let me admit that I saw Kung Fu Panda on an airplane.)

Regardless of where or when I saw them, each of these movies really hit my funny bone. I also thoroughly enjoyed the subsequent Shreks and the Madagascar sequel.  I’m thrilled, therefore, that Dreamworks Animation will be releasing new installments for each franchise.  Which one is your favorite?  Voice your choice in today’s featured poll. It’s never too early.
