Eminem’s Relapse debuts at #1

Enimen's latest studio release, Relapse

Emimen's latest studio release, Relapse

After a four year absence from the spotlight, Eminem has topped the Billboard 200 with his latest release, Relapse. He’s been doing the media circuit — cover stories with Entertainment Weekly and Vibe, radio interviews, an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live – to promote the album. Two of the tracks, “Crack a Bottle” and “We Made You” are already huge hits and Relapse promises to be the soundtrack of the summer.

Eminem continues to spark controversy with the homophobic, misogynistic content of his songs, but you can’t deny the fact that the guy is a brilliant lyricist. And he’s remained pals with Elton John since they performed “Stan” together at the 2001 Grammys, so that’s got to be good for something.

In addition to his rapping skills, Eminem has displayed his talents as an actor (2002′s Curtis Hanson film 8 Mile) and memoirist (2008′s The Way I Am.) Voice your choice in today’s poll over which role is his best.
