Christina Applegate just won Favorite Female Star and once again, much like Reese, she was really quite grateful about the award and acknowledged that it was a less than stellar year for her personally but that she was overwhelmingly grateful to her fans. And you know what? Maybe I’m jaded but you can sometimes spot when they just thank fans because that’s hat they’re told to do but this lady — to me — seems absolutely entirely and wholly genuine. If you live in Hollywood like we do here you know its a bit of a gingerbread house and people are less than truthful. Got nothing but a truthful vibe from this one. Well put, Christina.

I was at the awards and christina was one of the most top notch divas there next to the original U.N.I.T.Y Diva Queen Latifa!! She was not fake she was flawless,deal with it..She truely deserved to win that and more!!She paid her dues,stop being a hater!!!

i tottally agree with the mariska most of the people i wanted to win won(the others i didn’t really care about)but that was a big disapointment! i was all ready for them to say her name then i heard “Christina Applegate” i was soooo disapointed…not that i have anything agianst her i just didn’t think she really deserved it.. idk i’m sad though.
in the 1st place why was Applegate nominated?anyway as I’ve said yesterday maybe she deserves it. (but competing with 2 great veterans actresses)

Anybody who has seen or heard a glimpse of Mariska playing Olivia Benson in Seasons 9 and 10 know that she should have won this! I have NEVER EVER seen an actress put more dedication towards their work than this woman right here! AND TRUST ME I’VE WATCHED ALOT OF SHOWS. Mariska has helped millions of victims out there I honestly believe along with thousands of other fans that something went wrong, otherwise shouldn’t more fans be giving congrats to Christina instead of expressing that Mariksa should have won. Mariska Hargitay is by far the best actress in this category. I enjoy Sally Field’s and Christina’s work but come on!!! Go back and watch episodes like undercover and PTSD. I have yet to see an actress portray emotions and feelings the way she does. She just gets it. She has a natural gift.
She is an AMAZING actor but that’s not just what it is about. Look at what Mariska gives back. All the work she does with the Joyful Heart foundation is so admirable. And she is one of the only actors out there who actually appreciates her fans.
Mariska is the true winner in my opinion.

Wow. I didn’t agree with this choice. I have nothing against Christina Applegate, but when you put almost anyone up against actresses like Sally field and Mariska Hargitay, the awards should go to them. I love Sally Field she is such a talented woman, and even though I don’t watch Brothers and Sisters anymore I still enjoy her character.
BUT: Mariska Hargitay really deserved the award in my mind. She continually blows audiences away with her performances on SVU. She is such a powerful actress, especially in emotional situations and she is someone that everyone, especially victims, feel they can confide in. She is also a wonderful woman who dedicates her time to victims of sexual assualt. Really people?? How do you not reward that?
I was rooting for either Mariska or Sally Field who are both great actresses but Applegate is young and its People Choice.maybe she deserve it anyway.(Although I watch Samantha Who because I’m a great fan of Jean Smart and JS is the reasson why I watch SW)ok ok maybe she is an inspiration.
Although Christina is ok, I had rather Mariska Hargitay won. They are both great actresses, but I personally was rooting for our girl Marish.

I think Mariska Hargitay should have won. She does so much more then act. She started a foundation for sexually abused women. She get thousands of letters from women that trust her and tell Mariska all about that horrible time.
